I am in need of a water filter/separator for my compressor. Does anyone know of one that is cheap yet does the job? This is non commercial use and line pressure isn't over 90-100. No need either for a regulator, already have one. Any ideas/links?
Just about any brand will do if you are just looking for a cheap unit to use at home. It just depends on what you want to spend. Don't get fooled into getting one with an auto drain though. The float type (found in the cheap ones) are notorious for getting clogged open or closed. The type with just a 1/4 turn petcock work just fine to quickly drain your filter housing. Be sure to match the CFM rating to the output of our compressor. Usually if you are using the same size pipe fittings you will be ok.
