Engine Air Compressor help needed
Has anyone removed their vacuam pump and installed an air compressor? I just got a new(to me) compressor pn 3949095 off a 5. 9 CPL 2686 with less than 5000mi. I have no vacuam requirements on my Apache and it sure would make more sense to have a reliable air source. I have no air manifolds just everything that was attached to the engine. I need to install an exhaust brake soon and have to know whether I'll be using pressure or vacuam.
My questions are
>is there a comprehensive parts manual for this?
>can I attach my power steering pump to the backside of the compressor
like the vacuam pump?
>if I can't where do I source the pulley for the crankshaft to run the
pump
>part#'s for power steering bracket(not too important I can fabricate)
>where can I souce all the manifolds and control systems for air compressor
