Researching portable air compressors for tire inflation. anyone ever used the Ready Air or the compressors form Sun Products? Any others out there that won't leave you sitting for an hour while you pump those tires to 60psi?

I am putting the finishing touches on a system from these guys-

I paid a tad over $325 for all the parts. Initial impression is it will blow like h@ll. Fills the 3 gallon tank I bought to 150psi in about 2-3 minutes. I'll post 30-70 psi fill times on a 265-75-16 as soon as I can. The kicker is that it's rated 100% duty cycle. The motor has a fan that also cools the cylinder and head.

I bought a setup from extreme outback.

looks just like the "8a" setup on the link supplied by Dane.

It takes me about 7 minutes to go from 9psi to 80psi on a stock tires. . 245/75/16

Takes only 1. 5 minutes to go from 9pst to 45 psi.

It does slow down a lot after 40psi.

The only problem with high pressures is that the head gets really really hot . I originally screwed a quick disconnect into the head and plugged my hose in to it for testing. But at 70psi my hose blew because of the heat.

I made a coil from 3/8 copper tubing. I have that attached to the output of the head and then to a metal filter/seperator/dryer, which is what I plug the hose into. For now my 12v compressor is a portable setup. I plug it into my winch 12v connector. I have all the other things to make it permant on board air. . just havent gotten around to it yet.
