Air Cond Leak

I have a 1995 ram 2500 5 spd 5. 9 and no A/C I have leak someplace. I had it in the shop and they tried for sevceral days to find the leak with no success. The pressure switch was replaced and TWO count them TWO tubes of dye were put in yet they still could not find where the leak was. Last summer they put a vacuum test on it and it held all weekend . Theyt added the coolant and it lasted onlt a short time. They at least did not charge me for the dye or time spent trying to find the leak. Has anyone had a similiar problem ? any ideas??

Take it to a shop that has a refrigerant sniffer,those things will find leaks down into the parts per million range.

nopowerforme I have a 97 that had an a/c leak in the evaperator coil. It is being replaced tomorrow. You will have to have a sniffer to find a leak in the evaporator coil since it is inside the heat and a. c unit is the cab.
