RV winterizing--blow out or antifreeze?

Dehumidifier in RV

So we have a fairly large 5th wheel toy hauler. We have two A/C's already, one in the master bedroom and one in the main area. The garage area is ducted but with only two vents. This past weekend was very hot and the garage area warmed up but never cooled down too much. Our kids and dogs sleep back there. So the question is, do I add a third unit or are the portable units worth it? The portable units are roughly half the price of a mounted unit.

I would add a 3rd unit. There should be plenty of power available on the 50A panel, assuming you have a big enough generator or shore power.

At full temp A/C units can take 2000W each. 1600W in cooler weather. Hot weather on AC units has the load sneak up on you and run you out of generator capacity.

The ducting for the existing A/C from "What Quality?!" RV builders may need some repair. I had a couple of problems on my RV with air leaks and cold air being sucked back into the intake through a major air leak that I fixed in detail here:
