First off I want to say hello, you guys gave me the bug so my wife hates you. Anyways just installed the air dog fp100 kit. Everything went good, easy to follow instructions and I loved the color pictures. My commander fuel kit came with the banjo bolt for the cp3, and the air dog uses the an style fitting.

Where is everyone else tapping in for fuel pressure?

I searched and came up with a fitting that geno's and I am sure others sell that goes in the line and has a 1/8" female pipe thread for the fitting. Is that the best route?

anyway installed the kit and in the instructions there is an option for a low pressure light. My thinking was that I can put my lift pump pressure sender in the port right on the air dog base. Is that correct?

all of the sudden the commander shows 0 pressure and of course the warning light is blinking at me. I did bleed the system so there is fuel and I can hear the return rushing back into the tank through the fill hole.

could my sender have gone bad right then? Well I wouldnt think so, but trust me I have been wrong before. I did have to legthen the sender wire to go that far back. I used a crimp end because I wasnt sure if it was going to stay there but shrink wrapped it just in case it did.

Would that pose a problem?

And to top it off now I am having another problem with the commander. Sometimes I cant get it to power up. It will look like it is going to then does nothing. Checked the fuse its good, then checked the the power tap that goes in on the fuse(never liked it anyway), it seemed loose. Messed with it for a bit and got the the unit to power up. Went for the test drive everything felt great (except for not knowing the fuel pressure)

Where is a better place to put the power tap? It just needs to come on with the key, right?

Sorry for the long winded post but what the heck its my first one!

thanks

Oh and after the test drive I shut off the truck. When I restarted it to test the commander it would not power up again.

So do you think it is the power tap thing?

I have used the power tap thing you talked about for my gauges and like you don't like the thing but have had no problem with it as yet. I like the one that came with my TranferFlow and not sure how to explain how it works. You remove the fuse and plug this in and it has a location to plug in the two fuses much better.

I would think your fuel pressure sender would work right at the AirDog so not sure why it does not. I had previously installed the Vulcan big Line relocation kit and the inline adapter for the fuel pressure was in the line between the OEM fuel filter and VP and I used it and it works good at that location.

So far I love my AirDog hope yours works as good as mine.

I thought it should work there also. It is pumping fuel for sure, and even if I just want it to it feels like it has more umph. I just wish I could see the psi on the gauge.

Is there a way to test the sender before replacing it?
