My 97 3500 when i bought it has the air filter housing removed and a cone air filter open inder the hood. i am looking into a cold air intake and was wondering if i was missing any hardware that might be needed in the installation. the plastic on the edge of the inner finder for the fresh air is there. there are holes in the inner finder where the box would fit but there is no hardware, bolts or nuts.

All there is holding the factory filter housing in place is three nuts that go onto the studs sticking up on the top side of your fender. Aside from that the housing just connected to the turbo with a rubber/plastic pipe, which you likely still have connected to the cone.
Hope this helps. If you need an airbox they should be cheap to find, I'm sure many have been tossed into the trash.

i thought there should be studs in the fender but my truck does not have any. i will have to figure out a work around for this problem. Thanks.
