air filter

This might sound like a over simplified question, but how much of an affect does the air filter have on gas mileage?. I have a '92 3/4 ton Dodge diesel with an automatic transmission. I am asking this because a just had an oil change and they replaced the air filter with their own brand.

I would not worry about it as long as the filter they put in your truck is a quality one. If your fuel mileage is affected by your air filter, either your filter was clogged to a new level of clogged or you drive your truck on a constant speed treadmill in a glass bubble all day long Ha ha just kidding
