I found these air horns in jc whitney catalog, has anyone tried them. Say no tank required, direct drive from the pump. I was wondering how loud and if the pump can keep up with an extended blast. Cost is $70. The factory horn is a joke!

Thanks Paul

Had them, been there, done that- my advice to you is to put that $70 towared a set of Hadleys or Grovers.

Those JC Whitney pieces are chinese junk, sound cheezy, are poorly made- my "compressor" if you'll call it that, lasted all of about 4 months before it died. The Horn itself is cheap pot metal.

Just my experience, use it how you will.

Thanks Kev

Thats what I was thinking but had to ask. I'm always looking for that one good deal out there. paul

Don't worry about the "search for the good deal". That's what made me try them in the first place:rolleyes: .

If you want to buy the Hadley Horn components ala carte, instead of a kit form, they can be had cheaper. There is a place called Components Direct- they are Hadley's retail distribution point. I have the number at work if you need it, let me know.
