BD Diesel Super B "special" Turbo--anyone?

60 or 100psi Boost gauge. What ya big Singles running for boost?

I've been sitting on the side for a while just reading about everyone's experiences with there new 6. 7 cummins.....

Anyway I am ready for some more turbo noise... :D... . Anyway i see now that alot of the aftermarket intakes now are making a oil-free filter.....

My question with that is: Does anyone out there have one yet or like/dis-like them for any reason?

I had a AFE stage 2 with a pro guard filter which i liked it and it served its purpose..... Now with the oil-free filters out there, i've been hearing that since the new 6. 7 has a water-cooled turbo, its not reccomended to use an oiled filter... . Whats your take on this?? Should i go with the oil-free filter?

Anyone out there that has put an intake on your new 6. 7, which one did you go with? Why? And would you reccomend it for me to buy one?

THANKS ALOT... . This whole 6. 7 is a whole new learning curve... :-laf

I have installed 3 of the S&B 6. 7l Cummins intakes. I liked the install and haven't heard any complaints. I know one of the trucks has been to the dealer because of the particulate filter & dealer didn't say anything about the intake. I have installed dozens of the S&B Intakes & for the money they are hard to beat.

I have been sitting here as well wondering which one to get. Right now I am leaning toward the S&B. If you don't mind me asking where did you pick yours up?

The shop I work in installs them. The best bet for any intake is check the internet or a local shop. If you pay freight, the price goes up.

Afe makes great products, but you pay more. The S&B is a Stage 2 kit with an 8 layer filter that flows well. If you go with the Afe, get the standard filter - the pro-guard7 filters are restrictive. I started with pro-guard 7, and switched to the standard, because it has the filter in the top as well (for my application). I noticed right away that my egt's didn't climb as fast. When I clean the filter, the standard was just as clean on the inside as the pro-guard 7.

If I had to spend the money again, I would buy S&B.

I think I am leaning toward a S&B my self just looking for the best price right now. Seems about 270 with free shipping is about the best I can see.

I just ordered the afe mega-cannon from Diesel manor. It has the pro-guard 7filter, cleaning kit and the pro-dry plus filter, and pre-filter. I haven't got it yet so we will see how the install goes. I will probably wait till after I get the recall done and my first oil analysis done.
