Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Air Intake Heater Cycle Time...

Anybody know what the maximum cycle time is for the air intake heater grid on wait to start? If it is more than a minute, I will have to change one of my accessories.

The most mine ever stays on is about 30 sec. This is even in -18 weather.

i believe it is right at a minute to a 1:30 for the max prerun grid heater cycle.

Grid heater time is no more than 30 seconds.



Side note... I disconnected the 12V supply for my grid heaters. They are just not needed, and put an extra strain on the batteries and alternator in mild climates (>40°F). In fact, I have started my truck just fine in temps into the low 30's with no heaters.
