Air Intake noise

I am considering going to an out of the box air intake system, but am concerned with in cab noise while towing up steep grades and during acceleration. I was thinking of an AFE with the torque tube. How much louder will it be compared to stock?

I put the AFE on mine but no torque tube & really do not find the increased turbo noise to be an annoyance. Actually I like the sound. Small price to pay for improved breathing.

I have the AFE Proguard and torque tube. There is definitely more intake noise and more turbo whine. There is also more noise from the Jake. These are both sounds I like,so I am okay with this setup. I did put the silencer ring back in for now as the turbo noise is real loud without the ring in. As in the previous post I think the gains are worth the increased sounds.
