I have run every system available from AFE and the stage 2 is nice. More protected from the elements and quite a bit less intake noise. Less noise is more appreciated after pulling a load for many hours :)

I have A 04. 5 with the same setup as you except all grey and bone stock under the hood. I'm wondering if you have seen an improvement with mileage with intake changes you've made.

I'm happy with the overall performance of our truck but the turbo lag when using the on ramp can be a pain. We pull a 30' fifth wheel and these trucks can sure handle the load. It amazies me every time I go up hill and can excellerate with a 9k trailer behind me.

CaryR,

Sorry, I haven't noticed any improvement in mileage. Our mileage has settled at around a handcalc'd 19. 5 - 20. 4 (15% - 20% city) for the last three tankfuls. We had already seen a9 - 20 before the AFE.

With no basis in fact, except perception, I do feel like there is better acceleration, maybe the extra air is helping the fuel to burn more efficiently.

I got the AFE with a view to add some 1. 5 EDM injectors, maybe, and/or a box. I'm not doing it for the power, though that would obviously be there. I'm really looking to maximize MPGs.

Hope this helps.

Mark (DPPI), just wanted to say thanks for all your help this morning. I needed some advice, wasn't buying anything, but you gave me your time and your consideration, answering all my questions and concerns.

Thank you very much,

Jim
