I was reading the July issue of FourWheeler mag and found the Air Lift AirCell interesting. Wondered if anyone has tried them. They appear different than Timbrens.

A copy and paste of this number 52204 into the above link part number search will show them.

They have them for the front also for those carrying plows.

Too bad they don't offer it in a number of different durometers or lengths so it could be used as a damping bump stop as well.

Dunno about that, in the install instructions they do show use of an optional cup spacer to increase loaded height. The test they did in the mag noted they soften abrupt forces such as a speed bumps when unloaded.

Posting back on this as an FYI:

Originally I had removed the oem rear lift blocks to help level the truck from a stink bug look. With those removed there was not enough unloaded clearance for small bumps with these AirCells so I added one of the oem plates back in which helped but not enough so I cut off the last bellow on the AirCell which restored unloaded ride.

With 2000 lbs in the bed its "ok" I guess, not too harsh but wish it was a little smoother like when I had Air bags but unloaded those were awful with just 5 psi.

On a good size bump in the road it feels like not much suspension travel and those cells are squashed pretty good.

I have a friend who is running them inside the rear coils in his 09 1500 4x4. He is happy with them for the occaisional off road romp and when he picks up his toybox from the storage lot. For real towing he still uses his 2500 CTD
