b&w turnoverball gooseneck hitch

I am thinking about getting a air ride 5th wheel hitch.

I tow a 18K lb race car trailer with a chevy C6500.

I am trying to avoid putting too much stress on both the truck and trailer. I think the truck can handle it better than the trailer.

I am wondering which brands people have tried and how they like them and any bad points.

Thanks.

Craig, I know you said air hitch, but I installed the air ride system from Kelderman and am very impressed with the results. The truck rides much better and the trailer does not take the abuse it did before. This may be a little be over board, but I almost believe I could put a glass of water on the counter and it would ride there. ;) Now that does not include turns at highway speeds. The air bags have really taken the roughness out of the ride. When we went to Bowling Green last week I asked some of the folks following me if the fiver bounced very bad in the rear. They told me it didn't move. Just a little "float" up and down.

I'm really impressed with the results. I said that, didn't I. :) I like it.

Naugh, I don't have the 4 link system. Just the 2 bags on the hitch replacement. It gives about 3-4 inches of air ride. The 4 link system is just a little more money than I would like to spend at the present time. I like being able to adjust the pinion angleon the 4 link style. I'm think of just building my own 4 link. The 4 link needs a panhard bar, also. If you triangulate, that is eliminated but then you have an exhuast pipe problem. I have another to install on a customers truck next week. For now I'm just sticking with the 2 bag rear on the hitch.

EasyRider has just what you're looking for.

While TrailAir makes a good product, an air-suspension hitch can be used to provide a smooth ride with different trailers.

If you get around to reading their "testimonials" you'll find that they sound if they were dictated by people in straitjackets but they are all true and, IMNSHO, are understatements.

I love mine!
