Anybody running an air ride like Kelderman or AirLift (ala last TDR Register) and a KORE-type system? I know it was designed for springs (mine is a RACE) but I haul heavy and I want ride height to go on auto-pilot ala a rear air ride system. I want the KORE to function as designed as well. Anyone? George

I have 2 customers with air bags over the KORE pack it works just fine for them. They both use their trucks for work and play. If you plan on getting any air you will need to use limit staps in the rear to protect the bags from over extending.

Bob... let me make sure I have you right... when you say KORE pack you mean the whole setup or the mini-pak or? My big question really is... if I add an air ride (not air bags) to the rear suspension will the Fox shocks still perform their function? I am assuming it will but that is the 'assume" word. The straps are good idea... have them on front. Are your customers hauling heavy with bags then running back country with bags deflated? Lots of questions... thanks. George

I guess I should have been more specific, sorry. Mini-pak and air bags. Never run the bags completely empty but low pressure is ok. If you were running straight air ride you would have to valve the shocks for that system. But that would make an awesome ride on the pavement.

Now isn't this just about as good as it gets when you think about the possibilites for fast off-road, pavement AND hauling heavy? I am not such an enthusiastic R and D guy like I used to be... too many projects but I think this is a natural for KORE and friends. George

Good point. There are some mighty tall bags out there but that may not transfer to travel. I am also looking for an airbag adjustment between frame and overloads so I am still running on springs but have ride-height adjustment for hauling heavy. Another subject. George

So bob4x4, can I use my firestone airbags combined with my Kore Chase combined with a B&W turnover gooseneck?

Thanks, Bill

Bill,

I have installed the Chase Series suspension on trucks with airbags before. It works fine. The turnoverball hitch could work, depends on the airbag mount.
