ok today i saw a 4500 durapad chevy 4x4 4dr long bed kinda a kool truck since its got a beefy rear axel and a super 70 front hard axel. anyways i was looking at it since it was at the store where i work. well it had no bed just a fith wheel and i noticed it had no rear springs just a bar that hooked up where the front of the rear springs would be, ran over the axel and down where it was connected to a set of air bags hooked to the frame and looking at it, it looked like it could be made to easily fit a dodge or other small light duty truck. so im wondering if anyone has possible tried this setup or thought about doing it i would but i don't even have money to do things i already have im mind for the truck so this will have to sit for a long time. so id just like to hear some thoughts of how well this would do. food for thought mostly anyways let me hear your comments.

Im building air ride for my imaginary truck. I won't be using the spring perches but a bracket. This is all custom made except for the air bags and a few pre-cut round plate. Click on my webshots link for photos.

So we don't get off topic, Don, PM me with your turbojet questions. Also, search for turbocharger jet engine in the "Other" forum for info if you want.

bags where about 6'' diamiter and maybe 8'' to 10'' high big single. couldn't tell you how big the arms where but if you get the chance you can look at a 4500 chevy and basicaly it starts where the springs would and then drops down over the back of the axel and is attached to the bags there
