Newsa was wondering about my air system and air tanks.
This is the Pac Brake compressor and control valves and pressure sending units for the gauges. this is inside the box, passenger side at the front with an aluminum backing plate on the other side of the wall to reinforce the sheet metal so that is doesn't crack from vibrations etc. I mounted it here so that it would be easily serviceable, out of the road spray and debris and get cleaner air while running.
This is the compressor with the cover on it that I made to keep things from hitting it, and the rain and sun off.
This is my foot switch for activating the horns quickly when needed(or wanted:-laf) The horns are wired totally independent of the factory horn and are wired so that they can be used without the truck running or the ignition being on for easier use in those opportune times.:--)
An air chuck in the box at the rear angled downward to keep water, dust etc. out of it. Easy to reach to connect a coiled air line to for filling tires and my air ride drawbar that I use for my RV.
You can see the 5 gal. tank here which is on the passenger side just ahead of the rear wheels. This side also has two of the five train horns and beyond the tank and the horns you can see one of the 2 1/2 gal. ping tanks for the airbags which have 1/2" line running between the ping tank and the air bags.
Drivers side 2 1/2 gal. ping tank and three train horns.
The Pac Brake supplied switch for airing up and down the air bags.
This is the gauge unit that shows the tank pressures and the bag pressures.
The compressor system is all automatic as far as kicking in and out. The compressor kicks in at 110 psi and out at 147 psi. I can override the compressors power supply with one of the factory AUX switches on the dash.
