I've read the only problems anyone has really had with their pacbrake (or other exhaust brake) was that the the solenoid which controls the vacuum supply gets cruddy after a while and needs to be taken apart and cleaned. I was thinking of installing some sort of filter on the vacuum supply line before the solenoid to alleviate this. Problem is, what type of filter? I was thinking about a steel fuel filter... how's that sound?

A filter that would work well and look really cool is one of those mini K&N's they sell. I dont have a part number, but call K&N and ask for the smallest filter they have. They are inexpensive and would work perfectly

A small fuel filter should do the job. I saw your picture at the irv2 site, looked like you were looking toward the cafeteria with biscuits and gravy on your mind? We really like Fun Valley, was there last Aug. bg

On the solenoid it has a metal filter that is what is causing the clog as the vacuum is let out air fills the brake through the filter on the valve . washing the eng some thimes gets in the filter if you don't cover it . Just a thought   ;) Ron
