Have any of you guys installed this setup or know someone that has? If so how do you guys like them and tell me a little about them if you know. I see they offer a tube to replace the stock one with the cross patern silencer. :) Merry Christmas!

I put one on the Ghost Rider with the Pre-filter. I am very please with it.

Right now on EBay there are 2 auctions going, here is one. If it ends under $210 you are getting a good deal. I paid $208 without the AIRAID Modular Intake Tube.

AirAid and Intake Tube on Ebay!

I am also running the filter, prefilter and tube, got mine from Summit. I like the prefilter, it keeps a lot of the debris from even getting to the filter.

Thanks for all your help guys I just ordered one through summit. It looks to be a fairly simple install. I might just order another filterminder so I can leave the old box in one piece. RSByrd how long did it take you to get yours delivered through summit. Once again thanks.

Silverram 03, I ordered mine back in September. Summit said it was a new part number for them, so they did not have it in stock at that time. However, I still got it in less than 2 weeks. I have always received great service from Summit. Robert

You need to get a metal intake tube (aft makes a 'torque' tube) to make the turbo more apparent. Replace all plumbing from filter to turbo. You should go with an afe 7 layer filter at the min. If you want more air, buy a k&n for race day.

Thanks Mark I really appreciate your assistance I will give you a call when I get true dimensions on this set up. Do you know If they make a Pro-guard7 in odd dimensions? Once again thanks for your help. Edit: Mark I found some dimensions on their website maybe these are what you need as I don't really know what they mean Cone style(Iknow what this means) :)

Flange= 4-3/8" offset, Base= 11-1/2"x5"x7", Top= 9"x4-1/2", Height= 7-3/8"

I don't have an AFE to compare it with, but after running 7K miles with my AirAid MIT with prefilter, the insides of my elbow is absolutely clean. I can't imagine anything filtering any better. The element is an elongated truncated cone to give the maximum of filtering surface for the air box size. The pre-filter is a must have to keep the big chunks out of the pleats. Its weave is almost tight enough to serve as a filter itself. I am very happy with my AirAid.

Mark,

Thanks for the pointer. I will try that. I am concerned about the performance of all the changes I make to the vehicle. I was depending on the static electricity that is produced by the moving air to attract some of the dust particles to the sides of the tube.

A few monthes ago there was a post where someone opened up their aftermarket air cleaner and they found fine dust particles inside. I don't remember what brand it was, but it wasn't K&N or AirAid. There was no oil or grease in their tube so I assumed it was static attraction.
