It should be in the console or at the base of the center stack mounted to the floor. It has yellow electrical connectors.

Is this what you're talking about?

If so, it's kindof immovable. I considered altering its location when installign a subwoofer in the center section; however, I think that placement of this module is critical to correct airbag deployment.

This is from my truck (quad cab), and there is a place molded into the transmission hump to accept this. There is a black plastic cover over the unit, as seen to the left in the picture below. The unit is secured to the floor slightly to the passenger side of center.

The object partially seen on the left is an aftermarket infinity amplifier I was installing under the seat. The black cover in the center of the picture is just sitting there... it snaps on top of the seat bag module seen on the right.

Below you can see the mass of wires running to this box, as the carpet is removed.

Hope this helps...

I would not mess with the air bag control module, the arrow needs to be pointed forward and if you ever need to disconnect it you need to unhook the battery and wait atleast 15mins. Airbags are too dangerous and are a lot of money so it would suck if you relocated the module and it went off just driving down the road

Well, I just wasted a half hour of my life! :-laf

After looking on another forum, I don't think you're talking about the airbag (safety restraint device) controller mounted in the cab. I think you're talking about an airbag (rear suspension modification) controller mounted in the cab.     :p :)

Mounted mine at the bottom left of the dash... . only ripped my knee open on it twice before I got smart !!!:D Try to get some pics up when I get home tomorrow night, in Colorado now !:)

The time is only 2 minutes

Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable. If either of the airbags has not been deployed, wait two minutes for the system capacitor to discharge before further service.

Does anyone have pics on where they mounted their airbag controller in their cab.

I have pics but I can't find them right now. I mounted mine on the right side of the steering wheel down about knee level. It's easy to reach, in plain view and I've never hit my knee on it.

I agree that suspension airbags are probably the topic here. Mine's a Firestone controller w/ gauge and independent valves. I mounted to the removable trim piece that blends the center dash to the transmission hump. The unit faces up - I drilled two holes and bolted it, an a location that allows the air lines a bit of room, but otherwise is as close to the floor as possible. Unfortunately I broke one of the trim panel's clips, since I manipulate an extra piece of custom carpet underneath it from time to time. Used a zip tie on the broken side. With the drink holder and or ash tray open, it becomes obscured, but useable. It is the least obtrusive place on a Laramie, as there are no cubbies for an attempted flush mount. The truck still seats six when required. The controller takes just a bit of a lean forward and down to reach ... eyes can easily remain on the road except for a glance at the pressure. While the light is on my main dimmer switch, it is brighter than the dash lighting - between the ashtray/drink holder, it's quite easy to shield it if you enjoy a dim cockpit like I do - or a baseball cap, map or whatever will make it go away entirely. Sorry, no pics, but it's as simple as I describe. I can't remember the details of my air line and electrical routing, but I do recall thinking that a professional installer might balk at the location and not want to spend the time to get it right. Whatever the case, my shade-tree mechanic's pace probably took me 8 hrs. for the entire bag system install. Very happy with it.

Thanks for all you information. Yes I was talking about suspension airbags. Sorry for the mistaken about driver airbags, my mistake. Everyone is great on this site. Thanks again.
