Aisin makes great transmissions in Toyota and Komatsu forklifts. With all the fwd/rev slamshifting a forklift gets put through, I would trust them in a truck. They are a HUGE Japanese company. Several componets on the Japanese forklifts are made by Aisin, including water pumps, fuel systems (diesel, gasoline, propane), hydraulic controls and of course the transmissions. They have been around a long time and have a good reputation from my aspect of the business.

My Jeep Cherokee came with an Aisin 4-speed auto. The Best thing chrysler over did for the jeep cherokee was not put a chrysler trans in it lol. Mine has 208K of hard miles on it and it works awsome. Thats also with an addition 40-50HP and 1000lbs of wieght. I would check that option in a heartbeat if buying a new truck.
