AIT or IAT?

Well I was re-reading issue 34 when i ran across the small article on page 46 (Sensitive Sensor. ) The article talked about the AIT sensor and how one member cleaned his and the egt dropped and it made the truck run alot stronger. So I pulled out my 1999' Dodge Service Manual and was going to read up on the sensor and clean mine in the morning to see if it change anything... . worth a try anyway. When I opened the manual and flipped to the back I tried looking up Air Intake Temperature(AIT) sensor, well I did not see it, but I am figureing it is the same thing as the Intake Manifold Air Temperature(IAT) sensor, located behind the MAP sensor about 6 inches? Just want to make sure I am correct..... Could someone please confirm this for me. Thanks

Thanks for the reply barryg41!!... ... And yes my brother-in-law and i both go that way quite a bit..... I got laid off in San Antonio after September 11th..... I was in the aircraft business (Heavy Maintenance), now I am here in lake charles and working with my brother-in-law hotshotting. . He has a 96' 3500 (128,000 miles) I have a 99' 3500 about to roll over the 100,000 mile mark... . we each pull a 40 foot flatbed gooseneck trailer..... Sounds good, maybe we all can get together sometime, maybe meet halfway somewhere.
