White '99, 3500, 4x4, QC had leather interior gauges, sounded awesome with no muffler. Oh, wait a minute that was me.

Is there anyone else from Bama?

Sort of, mine's at my parents while I'm in Korea. If your down around Daleville/Ft Rucker and see a 3500 QC 4X4 Silver Sport, that's my baby.

(waving hand in the air like a little kid)

I live outside of Birmingham and can be seen riding around town at any point in the day. Maybe we could hook up sometime and swap lies!

Ronco

Metal tech, will you be living in Alabama when you return from Korea?

Hey ronco, outside of B'ham? What part? I live in Woodstock, about 25-30 miles south of B'ham and I work in Pelham.

Location

I live on Highway 78 between Jasper and B'ham on the county line. I live near Green Top Barbecue, if you've ever been up this way.

Ronco

Ronco, I get up that way every once in a while. I've also stopped in at the Green Top Barbeque but it's been about 12 years or so. My Grandmother had a spot up on Smith Lake and I used to travel up through there about 3 or 4 times a year.

Hey ronco,

Was that your black & tan Ram I saw at Wesley's the other day ? ;) :D  Oo.

Ya'll can't miss me, for the moment I think I have the only "03 red sport QC DRW around these parts . May be seen in East Jefferson Co. or St Clair Co most days. Give me a wave or a blink of the lights.

It'll be easy to spot ronco, he'll be the one givin' me the single finger salute:D

Be cool,

Fireman

24vcummins,

Happy hunting

Fireman

Fireman,

Obviously you know alot about Wesleys! LOL I have been there once. That was more lovin' than I can handle. Unfortunatly, that is the landmark for the community that I live in. If you see my truck there, assume I am sick and I need some help. I will keep an eye out for everyone. Take care.

Ronco

Ronco,

I knew that I hear from you after that. Never been in that one, I know alot that have though. I used to know a guy that lived right around the corner from Wesley's, a biker type named Stewart Peeples, know him?

Fireman

Fireman,

Don't know him. If he lived close to Wesley's, he might have been a regular there. I have lived here seven years now and don't know a great deal of people.

Ronco

I'm sure he was.

7 years, you 're an outsider. I've lived here much longer, but haven't been completely accepted by the community. Recently there has been a flood of people into the area and they consider me one of the locals. So I'm just hanging out here in the middle:rolleyes:

Fireman

You guys must be talking about Wesley's "B... Trap" right off of US 78 outside of Jasper. I am from Birmingham, lived there since I was three years old, but I am over in Hawaii in the military at present. I have been driving by Mr. Wesley's "Trap" and chuckling for as long as I can remember. Never been brave enough to wander in there, those Walker County boys can be rough when there drinking or overly stimulated... ;) I have ordered a '03 3500 from Military Auto Sales and will pick it up at Midfield Dodge when I come home next summer. I give you all a holler when I get back and pick it up.

Yep, that's the place !

Yea Lawdog, there are some dangerous watering holes in Walker Co. ,alot much worse thn Wesley's, especally down on the Warrior River. Some of those cats are just plain mean and don't need to be that well lubricated, and they don't mind playing for keeps. I'm sure you know where Carbon Hill is (just W of Jasper), they were hit hard last night by a tornado. As of this morning, 9 dead.
On a brighter note, you're gonna love that'03- check my sig. Tell us what you have ordered and let us know when you pick it up, we'll get together and I'll show you all the goodies you're gonna need.

Be cool:cool:
Fireman

Fireman,

Heard about Carbon Hill this morning, something like 1/3 of the town gone... amazing. I went up around Pleasant Grove after that Category 5 back in '97 or '98 amazing, scary things those big storms, has some friends of friends who got scuffed up pretty bad in that one.

As for my truck, the specifications are below. Since I ordered it via Military Car Sales I am not having it built until the very last of the '03 production run with a delivery date of 30 Sept. 03. I can make changes right up until they start to build it, (or even cancel the order if I want) so I plan on swapping to the ETH/48RE vs. the ETC/47RE, if the HO/Auto powertrain becomes available. Any comments or suggestions are welcome, this will be my first "big" truck. We have some hunting land down near Rockford and Equality in Coosa County, so the truck will be used to tow a Ford Tractor, very small bulldozer, my Jeep CJ-7, etc. and it will be a daily driver (except on pretty days when I drive the Jeep. ) I will probably end up picking up the truck in October and parking it at my parents until I get home in around Christmas '03. (In case you are wondering why I ordered it like I did... I was stationed in Japan for a while so I could order while "overseas" and got a hell of deal on an '03, and I am leary of the '04 EGR issue. )

Lawdog,

Sounds like you know as much about Wesley's as fireman does! Keep in touch, would love to see your new truck and spend some time telling stories with both of you. Keep up the good work too!

Ronco

:D Hi Ala. Gang, I didn't know I had neighbors,I live in the Gardendale area. Mt. Olive to be exact. I don't remember seeing any of you but I see some sharp rigs from time to time. Maybe we all need to meet some time over coffee and get acquainted and talk about our truck. I am not good at posting so if I make a mistake just over look.
