Alarm problem

Hey guys, my cousin asked me to post for him, he has a 2005 2500 5. 9 2 wheel drive, all stock, He came out in the morning and tried to unlock his doors with the key fob, lights started flashing, horn honking, did this for about 6 or 7 min. , then quit, tried unlocking again,same thing happened, several times, finally unplugged the horn fuse, went down the road with lights flashing, after 6 min. they quit, he could open the pass. door and it wouldn't do this, but everytime he tries opening the drivers door it happened, after about 200 miles, it never did it again, He was wondering if anybody ever had this problem or could help him figure it out so it doesn't happen again, The people in the motel were kinda ANGRY, He's a TDR member, but doesn't have internet access at this time, Any ideas, he has 129,000 miles on his truck, Thanks Monte

It's probably in his key fob, maybe something was wrong with it,moisture or something, but i'm just guessing, have never had that problem out of mine either, but he was wanting to know for future use, i guess nobody else has had the problem either, Anyway Thanks for the lookers,Monte

I had that same problem with my 03 right before the batteries decided they wanted to quit and left me stuck in the McDonalds drive thru after i shut it off to order and the alarm started going crazy and the truck didnt want to start. Ended up having to push it out of the drive thru... . That sucked

The 99 I had would go off somnetimes when I would unlock the passenger side door with the key. Ask him if there was something laying on the passenger side seat when this happened. bg

It would only do it when he tried to open the drivers door, Monte
