Placerville Ca truck pulls sept 2002

JR, that's not me. I have a brown truck with some fair size tires. But I have seen the one

you are talking about, and it looks sweet. I work the graveyard shift at Northern Air

Cargo so it would have to be a pretty odd time for me too make unless I just luckout.

Hey Midnight - you want me to send your the email list I have of all the Alaskan guys??

I can make it on the 1st, but will be up North on the 17th. Let me know.....

12/1

I've got the shop pretty well cleared out and the 1st looks good

for me. I think e-mail addresses for everyone interested would be

a good thing to pass around. So far we haven't got enough snow

to go riding and I go out on Sundays and Mondays most of the time because of our schedules anyhow.

Saturday Meeting

I know its a little late but I thougth I would post that the Saturday meeting is a go. Here is the info... (from an email by midnite)

We're planning on meeting at noon on Saturday, Dec. 1st at Gus's shop in

Wasilla. The address is 1340 Lucille St. Go west on the Parks Hwy past

Wasilla Lake and take a right on Lucille (just after Key Bank). Gus sent

me a great map which I put up on my web site--you may just want to print

it out:

I think Mike (Midnite) is gong to be at the Windbreak Cafe (2201 E. Parks Hwy) around 10 AM for a late breakfast, I am going to be there too. . come on by if you are interested.

If anyone wants to caravan up to the windbreak I will be leaving Anchorage about 9 or 9:15. We could meet at Fred Meyer on Debar.

meet

Hopefully I can time it a little better next get-together!!

JR2,

It was nice to meet you for lunch and to see your big green machine!!! It is a great truck and I can't believe it is sooo clean in the winter!! What does it look like in the summer??!!

After I left Anchorage and up thru Glennallen, it got down to -35!!

I was wishing I had the Espar installed!!

IF you get one you will need a 40mm(1 9/16) hole saw. I bought one at AIH and can send it up if needed.

I spend my summers in Alaska and would sure like to meet some of you guys. I'm there from the third week of May until almost October. I rent an RV spot at the crooked creek RV resort on the Kasilof river, which is 15 miles south of Sodotna. I belong to Joe Donnelys group of the Desert Rattlers in Las Vegas. I get up to Ankorage every so often. My E-mail is -- email address removed --. Love to meet some of you big horsepower guys. Pete

Pete -

Well maybe I will have to pull the old drift boat off to the side of the river and walk up and say hi. Better yet I will come through the parking lot and kill some mosquitos...

My parrents have a place in Ninilchik and I spend as much time as I can fishing on Deep Creek - Ninilchik - Anchor. . etc.

I think a meeting can be arranged.

On another note - we had a good meeting last weekend. Installed some power wagon injectors in Midnite's truck. Got to see Spedos shop and watch him manufacture a small banjo bolt. Keep your eyes open for the next meeting in late Jan or early Feb.

John, thanks for the reply. I go out of Ninlichik for halibut several times a summer. I'll send you an e-mail next summer. I noticed that I misspelled Anchorage in my original message, but oh well. I caught some nice Kings and Reds in the Kenai and Kasilof and did great in Crooked Creek on the Silvers. I did quite a bit of Canning and this next year I'm going to learn how to smoke some of the Reds. Two of my Kings were 55 and 50 lbs. See ya next summer.

Pete,

Next time you are in Ninilchik, drive about 1/4 mile past the turn to state park at deep creek and hang a right up the hill on Knoll Road. My parents house is the first one on the bluff. Stop by and say Hi to my Dad (and me if I am not working). He has a CDT too.
