Lets see the web sight where you work.

I remember when you could call a certain company and they would bring out their tanker truck full of used oil to dump on your road to keep the dust down. Bet that never happens anymore!

Or when a service station would dump all the used oil on the lot out back to pack the dirt.

This reminds me... What became of that wierdo who shot the pipeline through? And what was the final resolution of the hole in the pipe? How did they deal with it?

The news down here ignored all the aspects of it except to rant on about oil spills, environmental damage and other such stuff, and never actually bothered to tell the story.

I believe they patched the hole in the pipeline with chewing gum. The chewing gum didn't stick well to the cold pipe so they placed a couple wraps of duct tape around the line to deal with the high pressures. The perpetrator was forced to complete 8 hours of community work service due to the fact that is was his third criminal mischief offense. Three strikes and your out!! :D

The environmental damage is always the first thing to be emphasized. Remember seeing all the water birds in the Sound covered in oil? Every ten minutes some news story ran the pictures. Some of the pictures were not even from Alaska.

Remember the Gulf War pictures and constant commentary on the oil wells on fire? It consumed the news.

Don~

I remember those burning oil wells in Kuwait. What a waste when all that crude oil could have gone to make Glock pistols.
