Just a reminder to all the Alaskan guys or anyone who happens to be up here and wants to race. Alaska Raceway park has a test and tune on Wed June 15th and then the second Truck Performance Night on Wed June 22. If you can only make one, come on the 22nd as we need all the trucks we can get to keep this series going. I won the first night and have a groovy trophy to prove it, you need to come and race, it was quite fun. Remember this is bracket racing so you don't have to be fast, just consistent. I won with a 14. 02 vs my dial in of 14. 0.

And for those of you coming for sure, you need a helmet, long sleeves or Jacket and you will need to plug the overflow on the radiator overflow bottle. Oh and be sure you have all your lug nuts :rolleyes:
 
Nope never. I just think its funny that the guys at the track have to check for lug nuts. The concept of driving my truck without all its lug nuts never occured to me. I guess its a real problem with the ricer crowd.

I think myself and "Double J" may go tomorrow. He had mentioned it last week, but I need to check and see if he is still interested. The camper is off so he has no excuses.
 
Well, it looks like I will be solo, but I am going tonight. Anyone else going?



Unless I break something, I'll probably go next week as well and run the brackets on stock power just for giggles. :D

I did not make it, too much going on at home. I will be there for the truck night next Wed though.
 
He had some major defueling issues off the line but at about mid-track it settled down a little and he started to quickly run me down but ran out of track. All he could muster was a 15. 1 something with crummy 60' times... actually through the 1/8 was crummy but after that is when it woke up.



All I could muster was a 14. 0 something. I think around 14 flat is where I'll stay until I grow enough balls to launch with more than 5-10lbs of boost.

EASY!!... ... A little tweaking and we will get'r done. I'll be ready for next Wednesday.

I guess you knew the only chance you had was to get a good jump on me... unfortunately it only lasted about 30'. :--) :-laf



Seriously though, I get back into town from a QA trip around 5:00 ish on Wednesday. Give me a call around then because I still plan on going out to the strip.
 
I'm going. JJ got back from his trip early and said he will be there. Couple of guys has said they may show up and watch.



I'll probably just TT all night if they will let me. Lots to figure out. I probably won't run in the bracket racing.
 
The rain held off and we had a good time. AKRAM did much much better times that his last outing. I broke out during the actual racing so I did not get a trophy, but I did do my best time... .



I am 1558 on the time sheet..... I finally figured out how to launch

No fair..... the time slip with my best run is the yellow copy and my scanner won't pick it up. :confused:



Oh well, the other guy in the time slip that you posted, # 1748, is me. :D Close enough I guess. Not bad for an SO engine on 315s.
 
Nutter - I tried to get you wife to come out with your truck. I told her if she did not want to race it I would. You really ought to try to make one of the test and tune nights, its great fun.

After the times you two were posting I was starting to get sick to my stomach because I brought the wifes car and all I could do was watch. I think next T/T I'll have to bite the bullet and really put that billet input to the test. :eek:



JR2... If you don't mind I'd like to give your "drag comp" version a try. I think my regular Comp defueling at 2700 rpm may keep me from doing much better than I am now.
