DIESEL THUNDER! August 20th in Spokane, WA.

Idaho Dyno Days And Drag Race August 27, 28

This thread has been inactive for a while, but since dreamer37 made you come look anyway :p :

AK Raceway Park finally updated their web page:

”The Northern Diesel Performance Truck Series race has been re-scheduled for Wednesday, August 31st. The is the final race in the series. All those racers who came for the originally scheduled truck event on July 20th (which was rained out), & purchased a Tech Slip, should plan to return on August 31st. The Tech Slip already purchased will be honored for this re-scheduled race. Racers will still need to go through the Tech Inspection again, showing drivers license & safety gear. This race should be a lot of fun! We had 18 racers signed up, so there could be some serious competition. And anyone with a truck is welcome to come join in the fun. This will be the final Wednesday night race of the 2005 season. The Pit Gate opens at 5:00pm, test & tune runs from 6 - 8, with competition beginning at 8:00pm. Entry fees are: Test & Tune onfiltered= $25, Test & Tune & Truck Competition = $35, Spectators = $10. "

I'll get a video up tomorrow hopefully. Are you working tomorrow Joel? I'll drop the camera off at the office if I can get the video off in the morning before I go.

Yeap, I'll be at work. I'll take your camera and your keys :D

Looks like a good race according to the time slip, was it against that blue lightning? Wish I could have stayed around but I was already in hot water. :-{} Lets see the vid!!

It was against that new blue mustang.

I raced that Lightening a couple more times, but he was running steady 12. 5's. I watched him run once from the sideline and he made a weird squealing sound going down the track. He came back and popped the hood and I took a look. It looked like he had a supercharger. Weird looking thing. Maybe next year.

I usually drive around the water pit and don't do burnouts…. . well, maybe 1 or 2 just for show. :D I do run in 4X4 HI. However, I was getting crappy 60ft times that day and noticed the water pit girl was going crazy with the hose and I couldn't drive around it without getting my tires soaked. On that day, driving through the pit and doing a short burnout each time just to clean the water off the tires brought my 60ft times down from 2. 0-something to 1. 87. Big difference. I usually average 1. 91 driving around the pit, but I just couldn't get there driving around it that day.

No smoke because I'm burning all the fuel. Smoke is just diesel fuel that you are not burning for one reason or another. Usually from not enough air.

Great job!! Wish I could have been there. Must be awefully busy shifting on the way down the track.

Well done!!

Still another test and tune on 31 Aug?

Nice run Brian  You are going to have to help me get my truck to do that :D I just have to wait to get the transmission upgraded, that is the weak link at this point in time.

I'll be out there Wednesday, if the weather cooperates, doesn't look to good, and it is fair time

That poor guy in the Stang probably didn't sleep to good last night. :-laf Especially since he was spraying NOS  and still couldn't run you down. :-laf
