Cummins in a Chevy

I have not seen it but I heard about if from the guys at Cummins NW in Anchorage. The Kid that owns it did it with his dad and he is now 16 so he can drive it himself. Its an old 12v motor that is not turned up too far. I would love to catch him and get him to come to our meetings. .

By the way, I too have seen the old style Blue truck with stacks... but have not caught him.

I saw the blue Chevy pick-up on Muldoon this morning, I got

up beside him and when he started rolling I goosed it a little

and when he pulled up beside me again he looked over and

nodded at me. Its a pretty clean looking truck and it looks like

it has some 3rd gen badges on it.

Hey Alaskans,



Whow, did I miss out when I was living in Alaska. Sounds as if you guys have an active club.



I was stationed at Elmendorf for 8 years, just left last July... of course, not by choice. I retire this year and will be up there Jul-Aug.



Started out with a 98. 5 24v, now I have a 01 ETH/DEE. I like the 01 much better. Pulls my boat easier without opening the waste gate... hate that flat tire sound.



My trucks were/are pretty much stock, just accessories, running boards, etc. Plan to start adding some performance mods to new truck, already added the AFE Mega Cannon... can't breathe at 7,500 foot elevation.



Anyway, look for me when I'm up there. My truck is a 2001 2500 white sport, SB, QC, SnugTop XV, running boards, etc. You'll know it's me when you see a white Wooldridge Deep Water Plus behind a white Dodge heading for Whittier or Homer.



Can't wait to get back, really miss the place... fish-on!!!

Hey, JR2 this is the Chevy pick up that I saw a week or so ago.

its got a '98 12 valve motor in it. I told him about the Alaska Bombers and he would like to come to a meeting.

Dodge Ram 1 Kenai Moose 0

I finally got my turn tonight!

I had a head-on with a moose at mile 40 Seward highway.

I am also proud to report minimal damage to the Ram... wrinkled passenger fender and lost muffler ( didnt want it anyways).



Just a note to all, Keep ypur eyes peeled as the moose are not bright enough to dodge a Dodge.



PS anyone got a spare fender?

I saw a black reg. cab 4x4 2500 with CA. plates getting off the state ferry Aurora in Skagway on July 23rd. The truck had a TDR badge lower right on the grill. Whose was it? If I had seen your truck earlier I would have talked to you, I was on the ramp in my coveralls, taking a break from the engine roon.

I saw another one.

This time it was in the Walmart parking lot in Ketchikan, today.



Second Gen. , black Sport extra cab, may have been a Quad cab, short box. Black Leer canopy, fuel filler in the canopy side. Extenda mirrors, chrome factory wheels, and California plates. Red emblems and it looked like a 4" exhaust, in any case the exhaust wasn't stock.



Who was it?



I'll go hit the campgrounds tomorrow, see if I can find it.

I have not seen the chevy myself but I know the guy works at the Eagle River Polaris shop. Next time I get a chance I am going to swing by and say hi. I met his boss out on base helping Clayton install the twins...

I just traded for an '03! My '01 is at anchorage chrysler Dodge awaiting sale to it's new owner. (I'm gonna miss that truck!)

Well James does it have two legs or four legs in the back? Well guys I am looking at comming back up to Anchorage. I miss it and I hate Cali with a passion. All I have to do is find me a decent enough job up there. Anybody hiring. I have excellent mechanical skills and have a small heavy equipment background. Hoping to be up within a few months. Hey James can you get ahold of a Raytheon Supervisor where your at? Would be great! I wanna ride in that new truck!

I got a 3500 QC SRW LB laramie 4x4 with the HO. and 6spd. As to the Raytheon thing, I'll see what I can do. Ya' just need to hurry up and get back here.

i have seen puffin's truck a couple of times but i dont have any gauges yet and the truck is stock. I heard that my sister raced him a couple of years ago and beat him though with a stock 91 chevy. hope to go to some meetings and get a look at some better trucks than mine.

I was down at Anchorage Chry. about two months ago and your old truck had just sold to a guy in Fairbanks I think. I know the salesmen wanted your name and number to pass on to the new owner. The new guy wanted some info on the mods that had been done. I told the salesmen to get the info off your paper work and pass it on to him as you would not mind.

Yes there is a somewhat active club in the Anchorage area. . we have not had a meeting in a couple of months but we will have one one of these days. We usually meet at one of the members houses.
