I saw a nice looked like a silver 2nd gen with dual 4 inch stacks on Tudor and Lake Otis. I heard the wind up and he took off, looked like he also had a shiny Headache rack on it too. I dont see the truck on the forum though. Anyone else seen it?

I saw the same truck at the DMV last week only I think its white... Anyone know who drives it. I did not have time to hang out and wait for the owner. . I need to print up more of my AK Diesel Bomber business cards.

I saw a Black , Second gen truck with what looked to me like a 4" exhaust, Stick, and it had a pretty quick spool up. I chased him around for a while but I wasn't in my truck so I guess he didnt notice me.

New truck

We'll have a new truck in the drive sometime soon, Diana ordered a graphite 2500 lwb, quad cab, Laramie, 600 Cummins and 48RE. I'll post pics when she gets it.

Hi Alaskans, can't find any of you with email turned on, need information on getting the truck below and my butt ferried out of Anchorage, AK to Portland, OR as cheap as possible. I'll ride in the truck if it's cheaper. I ain't a tourist. . . I'm working. Last time I was there, the Yukon, ask a fuel desk attendant if I could slot there for the night. . . she told me go to a campground! Hell, I ain't a campin, I'm a working. The only problem with Alaska is you have to go through Canada to get there if driving.

Cheers,

Steve J

OTRPU,

The Alaska ferry system from Seward to Pr. Rupert BC would cost you $1127. 00 plus 56. 90 for every foot over 23ft. for your truck and $302 for one adult. This fare does not include a cabin, you sleep on the ferry deck.

Some vehicle shippers in Anchorage:

Wrightway auto carriers 907-277-4549

Alaska Vehicle Transport 907-561-2899

Totem Ocean Trailer Express 1-800-234-8683

Sea-Land Freight 907-274-2671

Hope this helps, you may find it cheaper to drive back out!

J Hart, thanks alot for the information. You're right, at those rates I'd have to drive back. Guess I'll work the lower 48, can't find a way to make it work for me. I done it once. . . now I can say I done it.

Thanks again,

Steve J.

I figured Alaska needed to get back into the groove of posting again. I am a new member in Fairbanks and I "spot my buddies(DHalbrooks) ride every day I go to work, so I guess that counts. He has the TDR sticker and all!!! Oo. LOL I would be willing to get together with some FBNKS members and head on down to Anchorage for one of these so called meetings. So are women invited? Wife wants to know!!! :-{} :-laf

Okay you Alaskans,

About 1. 5-2 weeks ago, someone up there(I believe it was in a traffic jam near Seward) let a big ugly guy with a graying beard(my Father), take a picture of a Pabst Blue Ribbon can on the back of there slide in or TT(I couldn't tell, and haven't been able to ask my father since he e-mailed me the picture) with a TDR sticker. You'll be glad to know that the old man is back on the east coast where be belongs, and won't be troubling you any more!!!

Send an email to -- email address removed -- and ask to be added to the AKTDR list, he will add you. We have not had many meetings in a while. I used to the the guy who organized all the meetings but after I got married and had a couple of kids I ran out of time. If you want to have a meeting, just do it. Send an email to -- email address removed -- and it will go out to everyone on the list.

I am still here in Wasilla. We need to organize a metting sometime. The winters are long as it is. I am always up for something like that.

That sounds good how many members do we have in the anchorage area? I would like to see some of the other CTDs that around here, and find some good shops.

Have any of you seen the blue mid 80's Suburban with the Cummins in it racing around town?? I spoke briefly with the guy in traffic... it sounds really good and was quick. It has a 92 motor in it.
