Competition Using an H2E, sledpulling?

Three stops in KY, one in Gatlinburg, and the two big ones in IN.

Sounds like a fun season lies ahead. Can't wait to see everyone again.

Thought you were going to be at the US-131 drag/pull event May 20, no?

I am going to Merchant Automotive on the Friday before and was planning on heading over to the strip for that Saturday. But, I was contracted for the Diesel Mania event in KY so Mike and I will have to head out after Merchant's Open house.

I was following Andy to Garmon's shop last summer when he decided to play a little. He nailed it, and an 18-wheeler swerved to miss the smoke cloud. It was hysterical. He plans a turbo upgrade soon. The fastest TDI in the world runs a 14. 47 on fuel and it is a golf. The passat should be there soon. He outran a 4. 6 mustang at Silver Dollar earlier this year. That guy was upset to say the least :-laf

Nice. Reminds me of how Dad dusts sports cars with his "snowplow truck". :)

TDI's have a lot of potential. Too bad most of the owners are hellbent on fuel conservation... and they aren't very daring when it comes to mods.

But there is definitely a sea change happening. You should hear some my phone conversations during a typical work day... More and more guys are buying TDI's for the performance potential. And we are doing our damndest to help them get it...

Andy's car isn't really dialed in AT ALL. Those injectors top out at about 250 whp. He still has quite a ways to go. He's still in stock intercooler and turbo, no airflow mods, and "off the shelf" tuning in the ECU. 250 hp should not be too difficult with proper support for the fuel.

And then when he maxes out those injectors, we have even bigger ones...

:D

Really? It's about time... Heck, back when I had my old TDI - I was the 'rebel' for installing big injectors and running 40psi for brief periods of time.

My future wife and I are getting a used TDI pretty soon.
