I've got Alex Pepers version now, and I really like it. But I will warn you, there isn't a whole lot of sensors that can be read from the new 3rd gen engines. I had hoped to read fuel rail pressure, but have so far been unsuccessful.

I think I'm in on the Alex Peper stuff.

I used a buddy's OBD-II scanner on my truck once and was upset by the bar reading. NOW I find out that it was okay! It translated to 37psi, but that less 14 is 23, Why didn't Keith mention that?

Anyhoo, buddy had traded his scanner in for another import-only model and I can't use it.

What all readings can we monitor with the Peper stuff? I remember seeing IAT, MAP, RPM, MPH, load, Throttle Position, and a coupla more things.

Now I need a laptop, dangit.

I put a bid in on E-Bay for the Pro Scan on a Sunday evening. By Monday morning I started waffling on it, and started hopping that I would lose the bid so I could get the Alex Peppers version. No such luck.

I should receive the Pro Scan this week sometime, and I will post the results.

If group purchase happens on the Alex Pepper's unit, I may still be interested.

OK, here are the results... .

DON'T GET IT - ProScan

The guy has a lot to learn about prompt business and customer service. After nearly a month after the money was sent to him, I still did not have a complete package. He initially sent me the wrong disc, and it took over a week to get a response from him. I was assured that he sent the disc out after the attempts at contacting him. Guess what never showed up.

He did provide a link to download the program, but it seemed like it was a beta version, and I had to download another program from Micro Soft to get it to even boot up. Kind of worked on the 'ol ladys mustang, it would not give constant data streams on everything, only one at a time, and then it was a real slow refresh rate. It kept throwing some sort of math error in the program and would not shut down, and absolutely no response for the CTD. It took another three weeks to get a refund. Not nearly as many options as the Alex Pepper system, and to get it to work on all makes of vehicles, $280 after a discount.

Maybe if the guy keeps after it it might get better, but a big waste of money IMO.
