Probably a simple question - Dealer is replacing my tie rod ends and has told me the alignment is not just a matter of toe-in, but that the ball joints are also adjusted to set caster - Is this correct for a 2wd vehicle? I may be just naiive, but I like to confirm what doesn't sound familiar to me. thanks

dealer reputations

Well, got my truck back today - replaced all 4 tie rod ends under warranty, 33K miles, but dealer managed to put a very noticeable scratch in MY door at nose level, get grease in the interior, and the door is out of whack like it got opened in a wind gust. Tomorrow morning I will find out if they want to deal with this the " easy way or the hard way" as my wife says. Geez... and dealers wonder where reputations and stereotypes begin/persevere.

Don't think its just the lowly dodge dealer - BMW managed to dent a fender on wife's car (bad move) and Lexus has been repairing my friends car going on 6 weeks now... "forcing" him to drive a rental Cadillac!
