I'm taking my 06 in for alignment after completing: 08 steering upgrade, dynatrac bj's and free spin hubs, and carli control arms. is there a difference between the 06 and 08+ alignment specs? I set the caster adjustments back to strait up when i put the new control arms in so they can set it to spec. is the toe setting different on 08+?

thanks

I've found that any more than about 4 degrees pos caster and you'll be fighting the crown of the road all the time. All the trucks I'v checked from the factory have fallen right around 7-9 degrees pos caster. The book says 4. 5 degrees pos. As for the toe in I've found that you want it to be inbetween 1/16 to 1/8 in measured at the back of the rim back to front at the same hight. As high as you can measure with a streight edge below the lower controll arms and the same hight off the gound in front of the axel. Any more than 1/8 and you'l see the outside of the tires wearing any less than 1/16 and the inside will wear. The old (89-93) trucks toe in was 1/8. Hope this helps. Oh, Summit performance has a really nice Caster/Camber gauage that can be set up for any floor level or not.
