I've searched the alignment specs. But most of what I find is for the older trucks. Are these specs still good for a 2010? I've done a lot of work to my front end. Each has made an improvement. It still seems to wander a bit. But I believe it comes down to the alignment. I have a good friend that owns a shop with the latest and greatest Hunter Alignment machine . He recently aligned my truck when I replaced the control arms I'm not sure of what the setting were. It's a new shop and his mechanic doesn't have a lot of experience with setting up a 4x4 for optimal settings. The truck is amazing over bumpy roads and the front end is nice and tight. The steering is very good but on dead center at highway speeds it' feels a little off. I believe that they set the tow at 0. I didn't get a print out and I can't complain since he doesn't charge me. But I'd like some numbers to give him next time for a custom alignment. Thank you for any input
To date I've replaced the following:
Thuren track bar
Carli Extreme ball joints greased every 2K
Spohn stock lenght Control arms
Red Head Steering box
BD steering Brace
Dodge recently replace the right and left tie rods
Axle u joints replaced under warranty
Bilsteins yellow/blue shocks
Carli lower steering damper set at 100psi (as per carli for stocks wheels tires)
Toyo HT open country tires tuff duty all road force balanced
Maxx Link sway bar bushings

Toe-in at 1\16 inch

Caster at 3-5 degrees, which ever works better with the tire you have. Run the least amount of caster possible to get tight consistent steering. Tires, wheel bearings, and BJ's will thank you.

On my 09, I have the Carli front end kit and the yellow & blue Biltsteins.

The play in the steering wheel is atrocious. I checked a new one at a dealer. It had just as much play as mine.

Which item removed the play on yours, the Redhead box?

It was my steering gear. On the factory unit I made a couple of adjustments to the steering box which did tighten things up and let me know exactly which component was responsible The very first modification was the BD steering brace. It helped a little but still had the wander. The red head has no play what so ever.

We go with 0.01-0.05 deg toe in, 3.8-4.2 deg castor. The more weight on the front axle the less castor it should need so a 2014 will need less castor then a 2nd gen.

You cant accurately measure toe in off the tire, 1/32" will be more toe in on a stock size tire then a larger size tire.
