transmission temp in reverse, fan needed? will it do much good?

We have a 2002 Layton 5th wheel by Skyline and we really like it. We have about 8000 miles on it and have had only a couple of minor things wrong with it.

I think they are a well-built trailer for the money. You might try doing a search for Skyline on www.rv.net and see what turns up.

I have a 1990 Aljo and I've looked at new ones on the lot. They are (IMO) built just like any other moderately priced trailer out there - no better and no worse. I've found that any TT referred to as "light" is cheaply made for the most part.

Next time I'm going to spend just a litttle more $$ and get a better quality TT.

I bought an '82 Aljo new. Other than the fact that the sides were about 3/4" corrugations and the window gaskets were 1/4" inch thick causing great leaks and the spring hangers were welded about 1 1/2" further back on one side, making it go down the road like a dog and the holes for the tanks were cut with a crash axe and the plumbing did not line up with the tanks so the black and grey water ran all over the top of the tanks, I guess it was pretty good.

Aljo used an ice ax to make the hole where all the running lights wiring enters the front of the trailer. I was driving through Ca. doing 70 w/ people passing me and cutting each other off like they were at Indy when first my brake light came and then my Antilock indicator came on in my 93. The wires had picked that time to chafe through on those sharp edges. I had no brake or turn signal lights!

I bought it in summer of '82 and lived it while I was in college and starting work. I sold it in ~'88 and it had <500 miles on it.
