Hey you Nitrous guru's out there I have a few questions for you and others may feel free to come close but no hijack my thread with your own nitrous questions on cummins.

How cold is nitrous coming out of the nozzles? I am wondering if it is cold enough to freeze water if they are sprayed right next to each other. anyone have any ideas how much more boost I can expect when nitrous is installed and dyno tuned properly on a 2004. 5 cummins with stock turbo? (class restrictions, but plan on cheating with nitrous) I am not looking for a definitive number based on mods or anything like that. I am simply looking for a nitrous guru's personal estimated possible range that all depends on build up, the number can be a few pounds off. Also does nitrous have to be purged or is it just for looks? Also can I tee 2 big tanks to the same feed circuit to the system? the reason I ask this question is I will have only one chance to play with bottles and the nitrous that opportunity is before I arrive at the track where I am to compete. also my last question is can I use a fogger nozzle and fog the nitrous with propane for additional fuel? The only reason I will cheat at these events will be to prepare for a event where rules have not yet been established for the diesel 4wd trucks. I will be attending only 2 events that will serve as testing events for the more important event to me.

I hope you read this before you blow your truck up. I would advise you to not use propane with a stock charge. And you don't need to purge your Nitrous on a Diesel. Air and Fuel no spark. Depending on how much fuel you have will determine how much boost you gain. I would estimate 3-4 lbs. As far as water injection I would put water injection in the intake horn and NOS in the inner cooler down below. If you are cheating I would go with the out of site out of mind plan. Good Luck.

I already have the propane it just hasn't been warm enough to install yet. I am addicted to sled pulling. I will be pulling almost every weekend going to every pull I can find out about and so far my calender is getting booked. However alot of these "street" diesel classes dont allow for twins or aftermarket single turbos. I will end up running what I can where I can in the way of a turbo. Injectors I will be running are dependant upon the turbo for that event so I can controll egt's (even though I have developed ways to cool the truck alot faster after a extreme overdose of EGT using simple but effective external cooling devices that can olny be used after my run on my way to scales while on scales and after i get off scales.

But regardless turbos will be one of the more obvious things the techs will look at and for, therefore at these first 2 testing events I have scheduled I can only run the stock turbo. I will have to do with 75HP injectors nozzles at the 1st 2 events.

First on a stock turbo you need a progressive nitrous controller(ZEX and TS performance privide them in there kits). These kits are about $1400. If you don't use a controller, and shoot a straight shot of NOS you will snap the shaft on the stock turbo. DO NOT RUN NOS AND PROPANE AT THE SAME TIME

Second, do you think you are going to get past the tech at these pulls? Huge propane lines, actuator, tank, nitrous lines and so on. These guys are not idoits...
