First, let me clarify this is on a '97 2500 with the V10 engine. But I figure the brake controls and operations should be pretty similar to our CTDs for the same year.

A friend was coming back from a rock-crawling event out of state towing his jeep on a trailer when all the brake-related warning lights on the dash came on. They've stayed that way. But, he said the brakes seem to perform normally.

He's the second owner of the truck and apparently the previous owner pulled the relay(s) and fuse(s) for the rear ABS. But he's owned it for a couple of years like this and has had no problems.

Any suggestions on what to look for to resolve the issue?

Thanks,

-Jay

I had a trailer 40 amp fuse blow on me and I took the fuse out of the ABS block to use for the lights to get home. After that, the dash lights stayed on even after I replaced it. What I eventually did was disconnect the batteries for about 10 mins and let, it seems like, the system reset itself. I even replaced the rear end sensor because the ABS light was on. The batteries worked for me.

So far, that hasn't worked. But thanks for the suggestion.

Its odd. He's owned the truck and run it like it is for over 3 years and this has never been a problem. So obviously, something has changed or gone bad.

We'll keep looking.
