One event looming in the near future is the All Chrysler Nationals at Carlisle,PA on the fairgrounds,,The dates are from Friday July 12th-Sunday July 14th,,Pre entry has been closed and you still may enter to show and participate in fun show field where you are judged by the public and your peers,,Entry fee is listed on their site,,They have been spinning a Dynojet the last few years without allowing the diesel trucks to participate for some reason,HOWEVER,that has changed,,All diesels will be allowed to spin $100 for 3 rolls with torque readings,,Price is a little high to me,but, those in the higher HP range and shined could attract attention for a magazine shoot, one never knows what could happen,,This is short notice on this but I just got the final ok on the dyno after months of emails flying back and forth,,There is also a pre-carlisle show at CVM Motors just north of the fairgrounds on Thursday nite from 6pm till ???? sponsored by the local Mopar group "Mopar Rebellion",,This is a laid back show with plenty of cars and trucks, food, door prizes and fun,,Drop me a note if your coming or look me up at either show... ... Andy

Well after a exhausting day and lots of sharp cars and trucks to mull over it was a pleasure to meet all the TDR members around,,I am not sure how many I'll miss here but those in attendence and lurking around were as follows.....

Diesel Dale with his 72 Hemi Dart

Challenger II

m mopar with his 83 CTD conversion

Jetpilot with his 2001 SB Quad

EK2 TA with his 98 Quad

sschwanger(ProRam) with his Pro Street Duster

Wiredawg

Larry Willard(who I think is still wandering the fairgrounds)

83 crew cab with his truck and Blown 72 Road Runner

And myself with my 98 Quad,,Lots of good times were had and lots of story telling,,m mopar's 83 conversion is a fine ride and kudos to EK2 TA for a long haul and putting up with the likes of us,,Well all I can add to this is good times were had by all and the stories over the snacks with Wiredawg,Larry Willard and their better halfs(I'm trying to save you guys here) completed the nite,,Hope next year we can get more to come and join the fun... . Andy

Yea that was a great show,we wondered around all dat and still didn't see the whole thing. I hope more will make it next year as well, especially those of us who reminisce about the muscle cars of by gone days, they sure do have some great ones.

What a Great Time!

Fellow Rammers:

This was one of the best times I've had in while! What a super representation of our Mopar heratage. Man, talk about reminicing! Larry and I roamed the park from 9:30 AM 'til 6:30 PM and still didn't see nearly everything. You definitely need more than one day to take it all in.

Hammer: Special thanks to you for letting us know about this. I don't thingk you can get more fun bang for the buck.

Jetpilot: Way to rock the dyno! 763 HP rulz! You defintely amazed (and scared) lots of spectators. It wuz so funny when they were all standing by the tailpipe and you showered down on it. When all that smoke came billowing out, a whole bunch of folks were ducking, expecting flying metal and debris to follow. What a truck!

All: This really seems like a great opportunity for the MD-TDR to capitalize (and dominate) many events at this national event. Hammer took first in show-n-shine last year and year before last in his coategory and looked real good yesterday. I'm sure Jetpilot will take the dyno.

Finally, Mopar does rule! We saw muscle cars from the past and we saw muscle cars (and trucks) from the present. We are part of this experiece and should have some greater visibility.

Well, time to take advantage of this rain and get some serious nap time in.

See y'all at Glenn Burnie on 27 July, if not sooner. Take care,

Wiredawg

Well I have just returned from a long and rather exhausting weekend of looking at some of the finest examples of Ma Mopars heritage,,To correct Wiredawg though, with awards being presented today,I did not place for a award in the show and shine this year, but there is always next year,,Kudos go out to M-D TDR member Diesel Dale on his 2nd place award in A Body Modified with his stunning 72 Hemi powered Dodge Dart,,for those who have never attended this meet,it is quickly becoming the premier Mopar show in the country,,It is way too much to cover in one day,the count this year was over 1900 cars and trucks on the grounds,,With having our feet now in the door and being able to dyno with the gassers with many magazines present the possibilities are endless,,Jetpilot and I did check on the HP/Torque Challenge final results that Mopar Muscle did on Saturday and it was official Doug did win and right now it looks like a article and magazine shoot on the slick Black Bottle Rocket will follow,,Diesel Dale and his wife also were involved in a Mopar Muscle magazine shoot with their pair of potent modified A Bodies,,All in all a great weekend of cars and fun times for those who made it,,My hats off to those who recieved awards and look forward to next year... ... ..... Andy

P. S. -One side note-With all the Mopars at Carlisle there also was a York US30 Dragway reunion going on at the same time in the York Fairgrounds Memorial Hall,,One of our own members and M-D TDR member wweaver(a. k. a. -Santa Claus) recieved a 1st place in his class there also,,So congrats also go out to Warren on this. .

Correction Made!

Hammer:

Boy, was I sleeping at the keyboard today. Sorry about the typo on the Show-N-Shine award. I corrected it in my previous post to reflect what I intended say: You won last year and year before last. I intended to reflect how well our members trucks are doing. Did the fella with the nice lifted 4X4 win?

Santa and Dale: Congrats on your success. I got to see Dale's and his wife's cars and they were super! Hope to see Santa's some day as well.

See everyone later,

Wiredawg

I couldn't make it til yesterday. Were any of y'all there Sunday?I was on the lookout for anyone familiar or M. D. T. D. R. emblems. Sounds like I missed all the fun:( . I did pick up some parts for my Charger though... Doug

Jetpilot and I were there,,We were parked in the lower field right as you came in gate 3 at Diesel Dales tent,,I left about 2 pm I was flat wore out from all the walking and went home to spend some time with the family,,Look forward to next years event... . Andy
