Sand Drag Reports??????

TDR MEMBER
The All Chrysler Nationals at Carlisle are just around the corner on July 11-13. I need to get some kind of idea how many TDR members are coming into the area for the show as I am trying to have a tent set up for us as a club. Those interested or know they are coming please post here or drop me a PM. You may pre-register online and I'll add the link below.

When you do register make sure you use the TDR as your club affiliation for all your vechicles shown(cars or trucks) as it will help with our club count for the biggest there. We may not win this year but it sure would be nice to remove that throphy from the N. E. O. H. A. group(Northeast Hemi Owners Group) sometime as they have had a strangle hold on it for a LOOOOONNGG time. There are way more of us than them if you count overall membership. Heck the PT Cruisers owners club almost unseeded them last year.

For those who pre register you may check in Thursday up till 5pm as in the past. There is also a Pre-Mopar show put on by the Mopar Rebellion Car club at Cumberland Valley Chrysler Thursday nite with a DJ ,show and shine and eats with lots of story telling.

Let me know if your coming and I'll see ya there... ... ... Andy

P. S. -Rumor has it that 'Ol Sleddy(Sled Puller) is coming east that weekend to whack our resident joystick jockey Jetpilot on the Dyno-Jet in front of the national crowd and steal his magazine shot. That alone ought be worth the price of admission. Dyno-Jet owner has assured me he can handle all trucks power and torque readings as the big program(5,000hp/5,000TQ)will be in. Duallys will have to remove outer tires and if needed I'll make sure we have the jack and tools needed for those guys.

I'll be there....

Andy,I've got 2 swap meet spots reserved as I'm going to try to unload some of my Mopar stuff. N-75&N-76 are the spot #'s. I have no idea where they are at(still waiting on the window sticker and other info) as this is only my 2nd time there,1st time swap meet. Do ya know of a good motel in the area?I guess I'll head down Thursday if I can... Doug

Gang...

Those who are going make sure that you use the Turbo Diesel Register for your club. ANY vechicle registered for the show field counts towards the total club count... ... ... Andy

Like the last 5 years I'll be there, still with no Ram (wanted to come home with the stacked blue first gen sitting in the swap meet, but couldn't figure out who owned it, I even parked next to him at the best western 2 nights in a row, still never saw who owned it)

Anyway, I am a member of Mopar Mailing List and gotta give my club points to them, NEHOA seems to come in first every year, but we usually (with the exception of last year) take second and most improved and win more money then them anyway :D

will24 says to us. ,,,,

"Anyway, I am a member of Mopar Mailing List and gotta give my club points to them,"... WHY?????

And as for the N. E. O. H. A,lets not get me started on them. Come on now will, how are we supposed to get that iron the Hemi owner stuffed shirts have with ya giving your addmitance to someone else... ...

Two years down the road when I have my dodge I'll bring the truck plus whatever classic iron I have at the time (I have a 73 and 74 dart, 66 and 71 coronets) and I'll give to both :D

Snowman. .

They dyno all weekend long, just remember to do that you will have to register for the inside show as its a PIA to get in otherwise. Saturday is the day of the annual "Mopar Muscle HP-Torque Challenge" and there will be a photographer on hand.

I have gotten a email from the Dyno-Jet owner and he has ASSURED me that NO ONE will over run the HP/Torque reading this year. He has told me he will have the 5000 hp/5000tq program loaded so those heavy hitters will get the true numbers and not have to figure the torque by hand. One thing is for sure,if you were there last year and seen the added bonus sheet that he gives out with a rpm printout of the complete run its a sweet deal. jetpilots run was amazing to see broken down from start to finish.

One thing I have to remember though is a leash for Larry Willard. His first time was last year and he had the kid in a candy store look all day and poor Denise was wayyy overworked keeping him in line all day. :D :D :D ... ... . Andy

hey andy ,include me in for chrysler's at carlisle too. i don't like to pay for the whole weekend but would like to overtrow the NeHOA guys too. i'm leaving the old iron home. like you said the PT cruisers almost did it. maybe i can get both my trucks up there to help out. if we can take the trophie this year from NeHoa ,can't wait to see ol' joe medwick b***h. :-{}

Count me in, I pre-registered about a month ago using TDR as my affiliation. I'll be in the show field Saturday 12th looking for other TDR members.

Time is near...

Its about time for the best Mopar show out East. Look forward to seeing all who show up for it and the good times that go along with it. I still have not heard anything from them on a club tent and have called the fairgrounds to ask whats up. Lady who answered wants me to call tommorrow morning and she should have a answer for us,.

I'll be a little busy the days before the show and may be late arriving to the Pre-Carlisle Mopar event. I am going to Enterprise Engine Tuesday for some much needed attention and hope to be home late Wednseday nite or early Thursday,Got my fingers crossed though. Those who need to reach me can call my cell it should be on the club list you have. If not I'll see ya there... ... . Andy

I'll have the grill...

... I'll be trying to sell some parts. If you guys get hungry look for the stacks ;) in the swap meet area, and I'll cook ya up a dog or burger. Who's running on the dyno this year,I won't be cause I had to send the Comp back to Edge(major malfunction:confused: ). I'll be lacking power for a week or two:mad: ... Doug

I told Andy I would dyno, but I will see how the day goes. I have made no changes other than the Drag Comp. I'm also planning to start my shopping for an "A" body that needs some LTC.

Carlisle

Day 1 update... .

Quite a few TDR members abound, although not many registered with us. Seems the show people never registered us a new club so no tent this year:mad:  . I got the club registered finally and off I went to the fields. Trucks are all on the hills again, grrrr, and today it looked like mass confusion for parking, tommorrow will be better as related to us by a official.

TDR members who I seen in attendence today so far...

EK2_TA,Proram,wweaver(Santa),Diesel Dale & wife and myself. There were other but my memory is short and I'll have to take notes tommorrow so I don't miss anyone.

Dyno notes for those who come... .

The owners of the dyno are charging $100 for 3 spins. No amount of lobbying on my part will lower the price. Gasser's are only being charged $75 and the only thing I get when I question it is how hard it it to get a diesel ready to spin(and we all know thats a load of BS). So unless they change their minds thats the deal.

Seen Jetpilot this week earlier and he will be a no show due to work and Sleddy may have work tie him up last I heard. Show is a killer one, lots of boss looking rides. My 2 personal favorites are a slammed, tubbed pro-street 94 Dakota club cab with a big inch Hemi stuffed into it and a wild looking lifted 440 powered 87 ram with more chrome under it than you'll ever see.

Oh well enough is enough,go to meet Proram for the morning Susquehanna River misquito fogging and trip up early. Will drop another update later tommorrow and maybe a couple of pics... ... Andy
