Sand Drags Update

Sand Drag Reports??????

That's B. S. too ! Diesels can wind it up just as quick, just like the gassers, **** on them.  Sorry I am not coming to Carlisle,I couldn't justify paying that much for 1 day,so i decided to go to Bethel , PA. for the Kauffmans B. B. Q Ranch car/truck/ big truck/antique/cycle/street rod/etc. show. It will benefit a fire company, and registration is $10. 00 and the food won't cost your arm or a f--king leg like Carlisle. Maybe i'll see some members there.

Saturday Notes from the show...

I still will never understand why the owner of the jet wanted $100 for the spins. Its was his loss and not ours as he was done doing dyno runs at about 3pm and had no one else to pull so they left. Boycott Carlisle, never, man this show is very shortly,if not already, alot better then the Nationals at National Trail Raceway. Management has nothing to do with what he is charging for dyno runs. Besides,I along with many others, go for other activities all weekend long. One thing that they, the operators of the dyno did do though was to kill any hope of us showing diesels are capable of performance. Man I busted my rear last year to even get us allowed on and they wipe it out. To say I was dissappointed is a understatement. Ah well enough of that.

Many TDR members were abound and some we all ran into I'll list here... .

FFutch-in parts areas doing his best imitation of "Dealin Doug" the parts peddler.

Proram-in show field in Ram modified. Man what a tough class. Its hard to compete with Mike Smith's 96 4 air bag lifted ride.

Kenny M-Also trying to compete with Mikes radical ride.

slundvall-in 99-up stock show field.

RBallard-In modified with Smiths Ram.

Mike Smith-Modified with his air bagged trick truck.

Diesel Dale- in modified also.

wweaver-Santa had his new 03 sleigh in 99-up stock and his sweet 33 Dodge in Street Rod.

MO'Donnell -In 99-up stock with his sweet looking Flame Red Sport.

Myself & EK2_TA-Both in 98 stock.

The wanderers-Jeff Knight,Bill Mancinell and Bob McQuit.

Know there were more, but, those who stopped to visit. I'll post awards tommorow nite if any were won when I get in. All in all another great show and lots of wild sights. My 2 personal favorites were the SRT-10 Black Ram on display and a sweet Panther Pink 70 Cahllenger Rt/SE 440/6 bbl 4spd Shaker hood with Panter Pink stripes, what a color combo. There also was a Red on Red 70 Challenger 440/6pak 4 spd convert in the field. Doug Miller's 64 Hemi powered Belvedere a/c equipped wagon always got alot of attention from the crowd. For those who don't recogize that name,Doug is the owner of Fireball Transmissions in Canada and 1/2 of the Don MacCallum SS/AA team.

Proram got some pics of things going on and will post a few later. Good thing they did not have to time him and I as we did the mad dash when the rains started to close up our trucks. Not sure about him, but,I could have used the oxygen bottle afterwards,LOL. Ah well I am outta here for now. Time for a nap... ... Andy

Ok...

I see since I came home and napped after the show my ace photographer will beat me to posting a pic. Great shots man and thanks, make sure ya send me all you took direct email.

Now with that said,I'll add my final post of note from todays activities.

TDR members who copped show-n-shine awards...

wweaver-Santa scored 1st with his 2003 CTD Sleigh.

Mike Smith-Scored a 2nd with his 4 air bag CTD in 94-up Modified.

Hammer-scored a 1st in 1998 stock.

This is a judged competition by your piers(other competitors) and can be demanding at times. I feel like I got more miles on my arms shining my truck this week while on vacation than I normally drive in the big rig.

All in all a wild show again. There was way to many cars to look at and way to many other sights to go along with the many vechicles on display. Nice to meet you will24 also and its a good thing I got out of the truck since you posted those shots here. We could have scared off most of Robin's membership scared after looking at me.

TDR members seen today...

will24-(told ya I was 6'9" and 450lbs will,LOL)

Jason Kubinski-He owns Gunslinger Automotive which rebuilds and reproduces the famed Hurst Pistol Grip shifters which were popular in the muscle car era. he is from Reno,NV and has a nice 03 for his camper. I hope I got his name spelled correctly I had a tough time reading it.

Well, thats all till next year. I'd love to see more TDR CTD's in the show fields. I know that everone has a different taste in muscle cars but we all enjoy these trucks. If you think a CTD will not gaener ay attention in a show field, well I'll disagree with you all the way. Garnering 3 first place awards out of the last 4 years tells me differently and my truck does not have all ther goodies some of our other members have. Ask Proram,RBallard,MO'Donnell,m mopar or any other member in attendence how many questions got asked of them. Trust me gang, this how has something for everyone, wives included. Till next year... ... ... Andy

Great showing, When I left I got to see Mikes truck in action on the street. It's an awesome ride. That thing scoots pretty good. He needs a little more smoke then it will be perfect. Great seeing you all. Ken

Likewise, it was great meeting everyone I only wish I could have spent more time with you guys and gals but I had just gotten home from business trip and was lucky to get out of jail for the day. I certainly appreciated the hospitality received from the Mason Dixon Chapter and look forward to future gatherings. I missed seeing everyone off, Hammer congratulations with the truck. Proram, I would have like to seen how well the twins work, I suppose the next time I see you, you'll have the heads O-ringed.

It was nice putting faces with names,

Bob

Congrats to Hammer & all others that won. Sorry I didn't hang around with you guys more as I had to unload as much stuff as possible at "Crazy Dougs Mopar parts"for future bombing funds. ;) Hope to see everybody at the pin-nic next weekend... Doug
