Competition Trouble at the Texas Mile

I Posted Over In 3rd Gen But No Help Yet

I Have Lost 200 To 300 Hp And Slow Spool Up Enough Smoke To Block The Sun Lol Never Like That Before

Slight Vibration At Idle And Generic Scan Tool Showed 1300 Rail Pressure At Idle Way Low

I Only Get One Code And That Is Overboost I Have A Fooler And It Worked Before Even Got A New One And A New Box Still Does It

When I Tow It Will Throw That Code After 30 Min Or So And Stay On After That Even If I Reset It Comes Right Back Before I Even Reach 20lb Of Boost Let Truck Sit Over Night And Then It Will Do It Again After 30 Min Or So

I Changed Relief Valve And The 2 Sensors No Change

I Think It Is Electronic And Not A Bad Pump

Any Thoughts Or Similar Problems With A Fix Would Great Thanks

i thought that but what about the boost code while towing and i just had schieds do my injectors 4000 miles before it happened the injectors tested at the right temps according to the shop i took it too i can't belive i said the shop but im at a loss and so were they

I'd remove all boxes/foolers until you've figured it out. For now you need to see what the ecm is seeing.

Low fuel pressure wouldn't cause it to smoke (by itself) it'd just run like crud. I would suspect the low fuel pressure is a symptom of injector/s stuck open not allowing pressure to build in the rail.

Sounds like boost and turbo spool is all 'normal'?

I'd be leaning toward injector/s stuck open so too much fuel at a time it can't burn efficiently so makes ton of smoke.

Stop driving it; if you're flooding the cylinders you're going to have heat and scoring problems. Pull all the injectors and have them tested.

Just my opinion.

1300 psi of rail pressure at idle? I am shocked the truck even fires at pressure that low. Take the FCA off and shake it to see if it rattles
