Competition All-truck drags at Mission, BC

Well, while a whole lot of guys went off to Muncie, a few of us kept ourselves local by attending the all-truck drags at Mission, BC. This is a big-rig event, but they welcomed us and we got lots of runs!! Although their times may seem a bit slow to us, those huge monsters were impressive!

While Christian (the cat) was away at Muncie, Pat (the mouse) did play... (shhhhhh! Don't tell Christian! ) He piloted their BD-powered Duramax to some very impressive runs, his best being a 13. 15!! This when the rest of us were running at least . 20 off our best with the heat... I got a ride in that bad boy myself, and what a launch! Oo. Traction was his biggest problem... Thanks Pat!

Mike Ramos came up on Saturday and smoked out the crowd with his 6 speed; always a pleasure to watch Mike drive!

Thanks to my DHRA Division 6 co-director Bill Fletcher for lending me his son Willie for the weekend as my pit crew; Willie, you're the man!

Had a great time. I know I am gonna take some slack about driving a Dmax, but that is the one we are working on right now. If Christian was in it you would have seen 12s ( Its a weight thing) Had some pretty good runs with Rhonda. That girl is killer on the lights. Wasnt too many trucks there to play against. All and all it was a pretty good weekend.
