Allis Chalmers Help

I need some help. I have an Allis Chamlers WD-45 with a wide front end that has internal engine problems, but has a newly redone cylinder head. I also have a D-17 engine that has a burnt valve. I've ask around to find out if the WD-45 head will fit on the D-17 engine and can't get a straight answer. I have gotten about 2 yes, 2 no and 25 I don't knows. If any one has an answer or a web site I can look at to find out please let me know.
