I have the 6spd transmission, but I'm considering looking into a rebuilt Allison 6spd auto for increased acceleration, ease of driving, etc. I think the Allison 3000MH (motor home) or 3060 would work great with our trucks. They are rated up to 370 hp and 1200 ft-lbs torque. Each of the transmissions above are the same size (29" long, 531 lbs, and 11. 1" below trasmission center line for depth). I believe one could be fitted into the Ram with some modification. I am curious if anyone has considered this as an option, and more importantly, how much a rebuilt transmission would cost. Thanks for you help.
