It seems that the allison also slips under high power. A Duramax owner with a poste 375 rwhp and 800 plus ft lbs is slipping his transmission. Maybe Im reading more into than is stated but thats what it sounded like. So even those with the expensive trannys wind up upgrading like us lowly old 47rhers. I know it costs a helluva lot less.
 
I have 2 edge juices on dmaxes now. Both trucks are doing fine so far. In the instructions from Edge,it says the edge will defuel if trans slip is detected,and cuts power during the shifts,and when going into lockup to help keep the allison alive. You can feel the power inturuptions as the truck shifts,and goes into lockup. It is jerky,and very weird feeling as it adds/cuts powerr every 3 seconds until it gets into 4th and 5th. One of these trucks has over 40K hard miles on it/plowing too,no troubles yet.
