I am 800 miles from 36,000 miles, are there any issues that I should have checked out with the dealer prior to the ending of warranty period? Ball joints, computer module flashing, etc...

Would you recommend any extended warranties?

Thanks

Sounds like you've already throughly voided any engine or drivetrain related warranty, so I think it'd be safe to say that you should avoid the dealer at all costs.

Is your response due to EZ Edge or the other installed items? If EZ Edge, can be removed prior to going to dealer. If other installed items, how do you see that adding those items would void my warranty?

Thanks for your reply.

How's the defrost blend door acuator on yours, mine broke, had TSB done for it. The aftermarket tint TSB done on drivers and passenger windows done. Had a couple recalls done. Just a few things off the top of my head. My truck has about 11 months to go on time and is a little over 25K at present :D.

There's a TSB on the cracking alternator bracket. The earlier trucks had a metal stamping for the bracket. The replacement is a heavy duty metal casting.

Regarding the warranty. Make sure you remove the EZ. Depending on the dealer, it could raise a very large flag.

A number of the dealers, here in Phoenix, don't have any problem with aftermarket air filtration systems or mufflers. They do, however, insist that you have an air filter and a muffler, of some sort. Guages are OK, also.

Hope this helps. Joe F. (Buffalo)

Heater

Yeah,

Make sure you check the heater closely. Mine was discovered about 300 miles out of warranty and it cost me 100 bucks. Once it was fixed, I realized that it had NEVER worked properly.
