Bilstein/Rancho/OEM replacement shock questions

as i read through the different threads, in different categories, i've noticed alot of topics that should be here, in the towing and hauling posts that end up under different forums. a good example is the new tow tests for the 2003 trucks. although i pay little attention to these so called comparisons, most of them are bought and paid for pre-game, so to speak, this is supposed to be a towing forum. just one opinion, but i'd like to see more about the ups and downs of towing [truck-wise] than the best place to dump sewage...

Packman,

This is your forum. If there is something you would like to talk about, start a new post- ask a question, state an opinion, or whatever it may take to generate some interest in what you want to talk about.

Many use this forum as a resource to answer questions they have, that's usually where the sewage dumping comes in.

Some just want to tell funny or interesting stories, usually something that has happened recently. This too is where a number of sewage dumping post come from.

Others post to have discussions with friends and like minded individuals.

In the end it is up to you, this forum is what YOU make it. So click on Post Topic and pose a thought provoking question or tell the membership something interesting you have seen, done, or want.

I'll keep my eyesopen for your next post.

You may want to visit some RV sites where others discuss problems they have. Try rv.net first.

Sewage can be dumped at some state rest areas, Flying J Truck Stops, and most RV parks. The Good Sam RV Park Boook has a list of dump stations by state in the front of the book. I have pulled into a RV park and have paid them a modest fee to be allowed to dump in their tanks. I also have a 11 gallon rolling tank that I can fill from my RV and then roll it to a home plumbing clean out fitting and dump it into the house plumbing drain. I have also dumped into the top of a septic tank at a friend's home. My tank will have to be filled at least 6 times to drain our three tanks. I start with the black tank, then the shower grey tank and finish with the kitchen grey tank. This flushes my hoses with soapy water.

Now that's an idea I hadn't thought of. I wonder what my neighboors would think. Oh, I guess that wouldn't work for me in the city, especially here in Tucson where water doen't even sink into the ground.

I grew up on a farm, we emptied cow, horse, pig, and chicken manure but I never had the hankerin to drop my drawers in the garden. :D

okay, okay i get the message. soon i'm gonna retire and join the ranks of you rv'er's after towing for a living. by the way i saw a 2003 ram dually pulling a take three trailer with 3 full size conversion vans aboard . huh... was he overloaded? ;)

I'am not trying to dog this thread the replys I made were in jest.

On a serious note though no one should dump their human sewage on a site that human edibles are grown. There are parasites liveing in human excrement that can be transmitted from person to person. ;)

Packman,

Did you happen to see how the hitch was installed on the 2003? Alot of people are wondering how to do this since it is not adviseable to drill or weld on the new frames.

Ron

no but the tailgate had been customized, which leads me to beleive it was some type of reese, adjustable and removable . we have one on our 550 and it's a sweet hitch, compared to our bolted on disappearing balls. oops, two words that never should be said in the same sentence.....
