ALPINE Overhead DVD Player

Has anybody had an aftermarket Overhead DVD player installed in the QuadCab? I'm thinking of having one installed (Alpine 10. 2 inch).

I'll be taking my family one a road trip to Mesa, AZ in about two months.

I bought the portable ones for last years road trips, but I don't like dealing with all the wires and such. My boys are not patient enough to not stomp on stuff when getting in/out of truck.



Is 10. 2 inch ok, or would a 8 or 9 inch be ok? I can get the Alpine 10. 2 inch installed for $740. 00 at a local shop here in DM, Iowa.

After having mine "professionally installed". I have Four dimples in the roof of my truck now. And the Alpine "squeaks" when driving with the Monitor in the "down" position. I have called Alpine about this (long story there), and of course need to ship it back to them so they can determine a cause/fix. I don't have the time to do that now, so I will fix it myself.



The shop that I had it installed at basically does not want to deal with it.



Lesson learned. Again, the hard way.
